Alex Lord Design was founded in 2023, emerging from a deep-rooted passion for creative design that has been years in the making. Over time, we've crafted custom designs for a wide array of projects, big and small, always with a commitment to quality and innovation.

At the core of our philosophy is the belief that good design leads to great outcomes. We cherish simplicity and clarity, knowing that first impressions matter. While minimalist design is close to our heart, we're also skilled in creating more intricate and unique visuals. After all, we believe that when you have everything, you have nothing.

As the founder and sole designer, I pour my heart and soul into every project, believing that great design transforms experiences and leaves a lasting impact. I’m excited to collaborate and bring your vision to life!

I love being creative. Creativity is what crafts my design, the inspiration of seeing a thought come to life across all forms of design, from branding packages to free-form art. I believe that being creative and slowing down is the sauce of amazing design, campaigns and art.

Outside the studio, growing up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, I spent a lot of time outdoors. Ever since I was young, I’ve always loved building mountain bike trails and riding my bike. At 17, mountain biking took me around the world competing in junior World Cup downhill races, an experience that taught me so much and shaped my discipline, resilience, and the approach I use in my work now.

I also stay connected to the local Brookvale art scene, regularly engaging with other artists and developing even more connections to bring into your projects.

I work across branding, print and digital, taking projects from concept through to final delivery with a focus on clear, considered outcomes.

Studying at DCE taught me so much about how to design. During my time there, I learned more and more about the rules that sit behind design that works, how to use visual storytelling, what makes design cohesive, and more.

Illustration was a big part of the course and helped strengthen my skills in painting and drawing through a variety of projects. It also improved how I approach design on the computer and across different forms of art.

I spent over two years at DCE, and it has helped make me the designer I am today.
